We offer regular weekly sessions in the woods for groups of children and young people from a school or community group over the whole year. Occasionally it is possible for a group to have just one term. Early Years children (aged 3-6) usually come for a half day at first.<\/p>

Young people can have the chance to achieve an OCN level 1 in Basic Practical Forest School Skills. For some, this may be the only qualification they will ever get whilst at school. In the future we hope to provide regular group sessions for individuals.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Information, Support and Consultation for people setting up their own Forest School. Many local primary schools have decided to adopt a Forest School approach to learning and are training teachers to become Forest School Leaders, as well as other staff and parents to support them. This keeps the child:staff ratio small which is crucial for a Forest School.<\/p>

Some have school grounds which can be used or others find ways to transport their children to local woodlands.<\/p>

We can advise on the practical setting up and sometimes arrange for volunteers to come and help create the fire circle area.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Include a range of our favourite activities led by two fully qualified, enhanced DBS checked, Forest School workers.<\/p>

Children can enjoy den building, toasting marshmallows, active games and woodland challenges.<\/p>

We provide all the equipment and refreshments (a drink and hot dog).<\/p>

We provide Inset Days for schools across all Key Stages and can design bespoke training for individual schools or groups.<\/p>

This is an inspiring day for all the staff, teachers and support staff to discover for themselves the opportunities for learning in a woodland setting and outdoors. There will be lots of activities that can be adapted for different stages of learning and fun team building challenges.<\/p>

Areas covered could include:- outdoor learning and play, teaching numeracy and literacy using the outdoors, team\u00a0 <\/span>building, an introduction to Forest School. Can be held at a beautiful Forest School site, or tailored for your own school grounds.<\/p>
