Sasha discovered Forest School SNPT in 2007 when she was studying a BSc Early Childhood Studies. She was inspired by this approach to children’s education and became a weekly volunteer at sessions. This led to her training as a Forest School Assistant and Forest School Leader with us. Sasha was motivated by Forest School’s holistic ethos and practice and how well it supports children’s learning, development and well-being, along with how visibly happy and enthused the children were. In addition to its therapeutic effect and how well children responded, compared to how some struggled with the barriers of a formal learning environment. Sasha included Forest School in her BSc dissertation and went on to use Forest School as the focus of her MA Childhood Studies and research in Early Years Education. Sasha has also flown the flag for Forest School by speaking at various talks and conferences in Wales and England.Forest School Leader
